Our Thanks

In April, the Bearlodge Sundance FFA Horse Judging Team competed at the State FFA Convention. They made an impressive showing and came away with the State Championship.

That effort earned them a trip to the National FFA Convention held in Indianapolis, IN to compete on October 23-24, 2024. As has been their habit, they decided to make their best effort to win at that level.

Since that state event, they have been working with various individuals and groups to hone their skills. From meeting weekly in the classroom to traveling to horse professionals across the area, they have learned many of the nuances that pertain to the horse industry.

Along the way fundraising has been accomplished to help with expenses associated with the trip. The team members would like to thank the following for their contributions to the team either through monetary or professional assistance:

88 Equine, Strata Energy, Crook County Fair Sale Committee, Jackpot Ranch, Tina Simpson, Sundance State Bank, Ray Marchant, 4 Aces Fabrication, Lynn and Pam Jensen, PRECorp Board of Directors, Bearlodge Sundance FFA Alumni, Crook County Farm Bureau Insurance, Brian Marchant, JW Services, Crook County Veterinary Services and all of the parents.

Finally, they would like to extend an invite to the entire community to come out to their last fundraiser for this competition at Uncle Louie's this Saturday, September 14. Enjoy great food and music beginning around 5 p.m. and help them on their way to a national championship!
