Spring golf wraps up

The Sundance golf team wrapped up their spring season this past weekend as they competed in the Spring Championship at the Green Hills Municipal Golf Course in Worland. The Lady Bulldogs finished in second place as a team, two strokes behind their rival, the Upton Bobcats.

Sheridan Schubarth finished her high school career, taking second place overall in the championship, with an overall two-day score of 174. Savannah Peterson was right behind her with a 176, placing her in third.

Avery Marchant also finished in the top ten for the Lady Bulldogs, placing 9th with a two-day total of 234. Gracie Davis rounded out the Sundance team, finishing in with a score of 320.

The Bulldog boys finished the spring season third in the conference. Freshman Owen Watt led the Bulldogs in the two-day Spring Championship, finishing in 13th place with an overall score of 192.

Teammate Spencer Lubken was right behind Watt, in 16th place, with a score of 197, while Haldon Harmon and Braydon Sanders finished in 26th and 27th place followed by Corbin Crowder who tied for 34th.

"It was a super short season, but we saw a lot of PRs in that time," head coach Lisa Dutton stated.

"The girls came really close to getting another Spring Championship. We will really miss Sheridan's leadership. She's been a part of the golf team since she was in 6th grade. She came with us to the JH conference tourney to be a marker and end her career where it started!"
