The 55th annual Wyoming State Art Symposium was held April 19-21 at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper. Over 4200 pieces of student artwork were displayed.

40 First Lady Awards were selected to be displayed for the year at the governor's mansion. Approximately 1500 students, 75 high school art educators, several colleges and art institutes participated in this event. 

Sundance High School earned 12 awards, two of which being First Lady Awards.
