50 Years Ago, August 31, 1972 - Lovely Linda Simons, center, is all smiles during a welcoming home program which greeted her in Sundance following her return from the Wyoming State Fair where she was named Miss Rodeo Wyoming. At left is Wendy Courchaine, who won the Miss Rodeo Wyoming title in 1969. Both girls are from Beulah. Shown at the right is Albert Proctor, who was master of ceremonies for the program.

A large number of people from Sundance and vicinity attended the old settlers' picnic and dance at Carlile Saturday. They all report a good gathering and exceptionally good time.
Having weathered the financial crisis of the past eighteen months, the Sundance State Bank is now better than ever prepared to care for its patrons. As evidence of returning prosperity, this strong institution announces a reduction in the interest rate to 8 percent except in the case of small or short time loans.
