Laramie- T.E.. "Buck" Yarbrough, one of Wyoming's best known and most colorful cowboys who is currently managing the University of Wyoming riding stables, has probably ridden more horses in one day than anyone else. On this particular day during World War I, Buck and four other riders were testing horses which private owners and companies were selling to the United States government. As all of the other riders got hurt, Buck was the only rider left. And the U.S. government had to have horses right away. Buck told the representative, "you saddle 'em and I'll ride 'em". And he did. In that day he set a record by riding 225 horses. Buck adds, "Just to show him I wasn't tired out, I bucked the last horse all the way back to the stables.".
