WJRA rodeo this weekend

Head on over to the fairgrounds this weekend for the Wyoming Junior Rodeo Association (WJRA) Sundance rodeo, an opportunity for kids to test their skills in the sport.

Starting at 10 a.m. on June 9 and 9 a.m. on June 10, the rodeo will include all the most popular events in categories ranging from peewee to senior, and for both girls and boys.

In order, the event list includes barrels, calf tying, poles, steer riding, breakaway, goats and team roping.

Concessions and vendors will be available on site, including Rocking Cowboy Cook Shack, a lemonade and shaved ice truck, Anomaly Sales & Boutique, Stickman Cupcakes and Fancy Coffee.

Cowboy Church will precede the event on the Sunday at 7:30 a.m.

The WJRA is a non-profit with the goal of getting kids ready for their future endeavors in rodeo, helping them develop a spirit of fair competition and an appreciation of good sportsmanship.
