Letter to the Editor

We have leaders in our government, who by this world’s standard have been greatly educated and supposedly have great wisdom. By reading the word of GOD, we are told that man’s wisdom apart from the HEAVENLY FATHER is brought into the light of truth. Please take time to read 1 Corinthians 1:18 through 25.

We have judges from our District Courts to the Supreme Court, who have been charged with administering justice. Deuteronomy 1:9 through 18 gives instruction by GOD through Moses, specifically in verses 16 through 18 how judges are to administer justice.

There are people who ask themselves, how did our nation get to where we are now? Why are some of our leaders so deceitful? Why are so many led astray? For those of us whose eyes have been opened by the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD and walk in the light of GOD’s word, we know exactly why our nation has moved in the direction that it has.

Our nation as a whole is GODLESS; we have turned our back on HIM. The words of William Penn, John Adams and Patrick Henry have been long forgotten.

The HEAVENLY FATHER by HIS word has given government 4219 verses or passages that address government and its leaders. Are any of GOD’s statutes applied today in government?

The answer is evident. There are even those in government who claim to be Christians, however the evidence of their fruit is to the contrary. Please take the time to read the following scriptures: Matthew 12:33 through 37 and Luke 16:13.

Is it too late; have we as a nation reached the point of no return? Please take time to read Romans 1:18 through 32. This passage paints a bleak picture and describes our nation in its current condition. As you read this passage, please consider what is happening in our nation at this very moment.

There is still hope. In Genesis 18, Abraham interceded for Sodom and because of Abraham’s intercession and GOD’s mercy and long suffering, the HEAVENLY FATHER said that HE would not destroy Sodom for the sake of ten righteous people. As always GOD kept his word and spared Sodom until there were only six righteous people left – Lot and his wife, his two daughters and his two daughters’ husbands.

Then Sodom was destroyed after GOD’s two angels told Lot to leave the city and Lot and his family escaped. When considering our schools, our justice system, our current government and our nation as a whole, how close is our nation to Sodom? Our nation is being lifted up to GOD in prayer; intercession is being made, but it is feared that it is by few.

In closing, until CHRIST’s return, when HE sets up his kingdom, our earthly governments will be flawed. Our only hope is in JESUS CHRIST and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS and to be guided by HIS HOLY SPIRIT.

Please understand, there is no political agenda here – this applies to all of us. To whoever reads this, if this causes you to examine yourself, to repent, to make CHRIST LORD and SAVIOR, give GOD the glory.
