Dr. Heith Waddell receives Advocate Award

Dr. Heith Waddell has been named the recipient of the 2022 American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Wyoming State Nurse Practitioner Advocate Award. This prestigious award is given annually to a dedicated NP advocate in each state who has made a significant contribution toward increasing awareness and recognition of the NP role. Dr. Waddell will be honored at an awards ceremony and reception held during the AANP 2022 National Conference, this June in Orlando.

Dr. Waddell completed his undergraduate studies in Billings, MT, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Flinders University of South Australia, focusing on Family and Rural Medicine with residencies completed at Nepean Hospital in Penrith, Australia, and Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD. Dr. Waddell currently serves as the Medical Director for Crook County Medical Services District and a family practice physician for the Sundance Clinic.
