Sundance ringers prepare to perform.
Sundance Community Handbell Choir hosted Super Bell Saturday X Read and Ring on January 29. The simultaneous event was held in five states and was sponsored by Area 11 Handbell Musicians of America, on which Janet Lake serves as a board member.
Handbell ringers from Sundance, Upton, Spearfish, Summerset and Rapid City attended the sight-reading session, with music provided by Jeffers Handbell Supply. The 16-member mixed choir was directed by Mike Beason (Rapid City), Babs Elving (Spearfish and Summerset) and Janet Lake (Director of Sundance Community Handbell Choir).
