Lloyd Kenneth Pruet

Lloyd Kenneth Pruet, 61, of Hulett, Wyoming, passed away with his family by his side on January 20, 2022, in Casper, Wyoming. He was married to his best friend and business partner, Jan (Frehner), for 33 years.

Born in Moab, Utah, to Leon "Skeeter" D. Pruet and Gayle (Lemrick), Lloyd spent his school years in Lynnwood, Washington. They moved to the family ranch in Hulett the day he graduated from high school in 1979.

He attended Casper College and Black Hills State University. Though he spent almost 25 years in Las Vegas, Nevada, he always considered Wyoming to be his home. He worked in construction most of his adult life until he returned to Hulett to fulfill his lifelong dream of ranching and being a hunting outfitter.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in many callings and touched many lives over the last 30 years as a youth leader and in ward, branch and stake leadership.

Lloyd was passionate about photography, art, hunting and fishing, but his true passion was serving others in his community. He welcomed everyone to be a part of his family. He was a father figure to many and an inspiration to even more.

Although he will be greatly missed, his lasting influence on the people he loved will never be forgotten.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Jan (Frehner); son, Jesse (Becky) Pruet; daughter Ashley (Sean) Pruet; mother, Gayle (John) Shipley; sister, Cindy (Doug) Pruet Brown; and a very large, very loved extended family.

Lloyd, "never a stranger met."

Private family graveside services have taken place at the family ranch. A memorial service will take place this summer in Hulett.

Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel of Sundance. Online condolences may be written at http://www.fidler-isburgfuneralchapels.com
