Veterans Day concert presented by school band and choir

Veterans and members of the public are welcomed to enjoy a program from the Sundance Junior High and High School Band and Choir this Thursday, November 11.

At 7 p.m. on Veteran’s Day, the free concert will honor our veterans under the direction of Mrs. Teresa Preisner.

The program will begin with the Presentation of Colors from American Legion Post #45 and VFW Post #4311, followed by a rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner”.

Additional music will include “Song for the Unsung Hero,” “Still a Soldier,” “Have You Forgotten?” Soldiers Hallelujah,” “Armed Forces – Pride of America,” “American Fantasy” and “Stars and Stripes Forever.” Past and present service members will be asked to rise for recognition during the song for their branch of service.

The program will also include additional elements, including “About the Pledge of Allegiance” as presented by Red Skelton, facts about Veterans Day and “Anniversary of 9/11” from History.com.

The program will end with Taps and the Retirement of Colors.
