Sundance seventh graders take first in District Tournament

The Sundance Bulldog seventh grade volleyball team came away with a first-place finish in the Northeast Wyoming District Tournament on Fri., Oct. 15. The team went into the tournament with a 14-3 record and a first-place seed after having a very successful regular season.

This year's tournament went to a single elimination bracket making the first-round game essential to advancing. In the first match, the little Bulldogs went up against a good Wright Panther team and came away with a dominating victory in two sets.

In the championship match, the fired-up little lady Bulldogs never let up on the Upton Bobcats and defeated them with scores of 25-18 and 25-16.

This group of athletes worked extremely hard throughout the season and remained positive and never gave up, in spite of some adversity in the middle of the season due to COVID. Their never-give-up attitudes and work ethic will be an asset to them as they move on to the next level of Lady Bulldog Volleyball.
