Clara Alice Potter

Clara Alice (Pickerd) Potter, 80, of Sundance, Wyoming, passed away at Monument Health Spearfish on Sunday, August 29, 2021. She was born November 2, 1940, in Spearfish, South Dakota, to Emerson Willard and Margaret Elizabeth (Hopson) Pickerd.

She married the love of her life Raymond Potter and travel all around as he was a service man, until they retired and they made their final home in Sundance.

Clara resided at the Spearfish Canyon Healthcare for the past two years where she was well loved and will be missed dearly by many. She always brought a smile to everyone that she encountered.

If anyone was having a bad day, she would always give you a reason to smile. Clara enjoyed sewing, needle work, puzzles, reading and had a love for caramel Milky Way candy bars. She was very proud of all the barbie doll dresses and crafts that she made she was one talented woman.

Clara is survived by her brothers, Jack Pickerd of Jacksonville, Texas and Aldean Pickerd of Las Vegas, Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; parents, Margaret and Emerson Pickerd; brothers, Leland, Darrel and Tom Pickerd.

Visitation will be at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Home on Friday, September 10, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Black Hill National Cemetery in Sturgis. Masks are required at the Black Hills Cemetery.
