Puzzling

I like to put puzzles together, it’s something I do. When all the pieces come out of the box, very little looks much like anything, yet it is all something.

The relaxing effort of taking each individual piece and placing into its proper place speaks much of what life is: individual events that come together to produce a whole reasonable, purposeful, perspective.

This month I have been handed many pieces that have yet to come together. I offer them to you to ponder in head, heart and find a place in your life.

“A belief about God is really a belief about everything else.” Making Sense of Your World. Phillips, Brown, Stonestreet.

The love of Jesus is a real thing – a real thing in a dark place.

“Be ever watchful, go with God.” Written on a piece of paper from a friend when I went to Southern Sudan, 2020.

“Our view our origins determines our view of human nature.” Chuck Colson: How Now Shall We Live?

“Are we stronger than He?” 1 Cor. 10:22. Are you?

“Humility is the mother of giants. One sees great things from the valley, only small things from the peak.” G.K. Chesterton.

We are choosers, choosing how we live.

Words must become flesh for us to understand them. Read the world, take its questions to heart.

Review timeless and enduring truths.

We must live like forgiven people.

May these pieces be positioned in your life to help frame how you view it and see your place in it.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
