It

“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

IT: A pronoun used to refer to that one previously mentioned.

We are often told in this world to get with it. A movie has been made named “IT”, and we are usually the last ones to realize we have lost it. One thing we all wrestle with on earth is how we decide to live it, and more importantly as Jesus stated, “to have it [life] more abundantly.”

The life we live is consumed with making it (work, money, family), keeping it and the fear of losing it. So many things are seemingly worth it and from that we equate value. We also are good at putting effort into it, whatever it may be, although the item that slowly gets misplaced in living is, what exactly was it?

It (life, the item we have previously mentioned and the God who made it all a reality) may appear complicated. It (life) comes with many questions. Some of which may be: How is it? What is it? Have you got it? Lost it? Forgotten it? What’s wrong with it? Reasonable requests for all who are born to this earth in the image of God.

Life derives its abundance not from humanity, as it is always conditional. It is sourced from God, and His love (life) is unconditional. IT (GOD) will never go away and demands your participation in determining what it (life) looks like.

Life constantly questions your existence. What do you put into it (life)? Why put up with it? Who do you trust with it? Why does it matter or even question it? The Remedy to all of it? God. Life is not it, until placed together with God, through His Son Jesus Christ. Either you know IT (GOD), or you don’t.

It (life eternal) is your decision, you choose what to do with it. Christianity embraces all truth as it is the TRUTH! It is the ultimate reality!

“The question is not what we intended ourselves to be, but what He intended us to be when He made us.” C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity
