J.W. Caskaden, for thirty years a resident of Crook County, left Friday for his old home in West Virginia. For the last nine years he has made his home on a sheep wagon, being employed by John McKean.
Grant Bay of Hulett was a caller at this office Thursday and left a sample of Yellow Transparent that were grown on his ranch ten miles north of Hulett. There were thirteen perfect apples growing on one stem. Mr. Bay will have a fruit display at the county fair next month.
