Continuing the Crook County News Since 1884

Better late than never

The snow may have waited until a little late in the season to fall, but that doesn’t make the moisture less welcome. Sunday evening saw significant snowfall, with the National Weather Service reporting the highest levels for this county in Sundance and southwest of Beulah, both of which had received six inches by the morning. The storm stretched west to Gillette, south to Newcastle and across the border into South Dakota, with a highest recorded snow total of 12 inches in Deerfield, Pennington County.
