Sundance man sentenced to jail on incest charges

A Sundance has been sentenced to jail after pleading guilty to one felony count of incest.

Dominque Nelson was arrested last spring after details of the incident came out during a forensic interview of the alleged victim at the Children’s Advocacy Center in Rapid City. Nelson was then interviewed by a deputy from the Crook County Sheriff’s Office and allegedly admitted to a number of the accusations made.

Nelson was sentenced by Judge Stuart S. Healy III to between 36 months and 120 months in a state penal institution, with a recommendation that he complete the Youthful Offender Program (Boot Camp.)
