PRECorp Foundation announces holiday giving

The Powder River Energy Foundation announced last week that it has boosted this year’s donations to charitable organizations through its Holiday Giving Campaign. While $10,000 was donated across northeast Wyoming in 2019, this year’s grants have increased to a total $15,000.

“The Foundation’s mission is to demonstrate our commitment to individuals and nonprofit or charitable organizations in northeast Wyoming by lending a helping hand that will improve their quality of life or service to their community,” said Foundation Board President John Flocchini in a press release.

“Because 2020 has been such a challenging year for many families, and the charities that bring relief, our Foundation Board approved a $5000 increase in its support this Holiday season.”

Recipients in Crook County include the Moorcroft Interfaith Community (MIC) for food assistance. Throughout the pandemic, the MIC has consistently offered help to those in need through a food pantry model.

The second recipient is the Hulett Holiday Baskets.

Donations are partly made possible through the Operation RoundUp® program, through which members of PRECorp are given the opportunity to “round up” their monthly bill to the next dollar. This results in an average donation of 50 cents per month.
