COVID-19 Daily Update - November 16

Wyoming's total lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 have increased by 587 since yesterday and now stand at 19,298. Probable cases have increased by 112 to 3308.

Crook County has had a total of 207 confirmed cases and 19 probables after 4 new confirmed and 1 probable case were announced today. Of those cases, 88 confirmed and 6 probable are currently active.

144 people have died as a result of COVID-19 in Wyoming. 3 of the new deaths were residents of Crook County.

A total of 11,070 confirmed and 1832 probable cases have recovered.

The state's two largest counties once again reported the largest increase in coronavirus cases, with Laramie County reporting 152 new cases and Natrona County seeing an increase of 142.

Albany County had 63 new cases; Sheridan County had 47; Sweetwater County had 33; Fremont County had 30; Goshen County had 29; Carbon County had 26; Lincoln County had 23; Uinta County had 20. Teton County saw 14 new cases; Sublette County had seven; Washakie County and Hot Springs County each had six; Big Horn, Campbell, Crook and Platte counties all reported four new cases; Johnson County had three more; Converse County had two; and Niobrara County had one new case.

The Health Department showed a decrease of one case in Weston County and a decrease of 32 cases in Park County.

The number of active coronavirus cases in Wyoming on Monday was 10,147, an increase of 250 over Sunday's 9897.

Of the statewide metrics used to make decisions regarding the virus, five of six are marked as "concerning": the percentage of all tests with a positive result over the last two weeks, new cases and total reported hospital admissions due to COVID-19, total hospital bed availability and total ICU bed availability.

The sixth metric is marked as "stable" (amber level): percentage of cases attributed to community spread.
