COVID-19 Daily Update - October 4

Wyoming's total lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 have increased by 131 since yesterday and now stand at 5546. Probable cases have increased by 8 to 958.

Crook County has had a total of 42 confirmed cases and 7 probables after 1 new confirmed case was reported today. Of those cases, 10 confirmed are currently active.

53 people have died as a result of COVID-19 in Wyoming.

A total of 4378 confirmed and 782 probable cases have recovered.

Albany County reported 46 new cases; Fremont had 17; Sweetwater saw 12 new cases; Natrona County had 10; Campbell and Laramie counties recorded eight new cases; Teton had 5 new cases; Big Horn and Sheridan had 4; Converse reported 3; Carbon, Johnson and Lincoln reported 2, and Crook, Goshen, Park and Washakie all reported 1 new case.

The Wyoming Department of Health said the number of confirmed cases in Sublette County declined by one.

Albany County had the highest increase in coronavirus cases -- 28. Natrona County has 18 new cases; Teton County has 14 more cases; Campbell, Fremont, Laramie have 12 more. Sheridan County has six new cases; Converse and Park counties have five; Big Horn, Lincoln and Platte counties have three; Carbon and Sweeetwater counties have two new cases; Crook, Goshen, Sublette, Uinta, Washakie and Weston counties each report one new case.

The total number of active coronavirus cases statewide is now 1,291, an increase of 62 from yesterday's total of 1,229.

Of the statewide metrics used to make decisions regarding the virus, all metrics are "stable" (amber level), except new cases and total reported hospital admissions due to COVID-19, which are both marked as "concerning" (red level).
