COVID-19 Daily Update - August 18

Wyoming's total lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 have increased today by 21 and now stand at 2850. Probable cases have increased by 11 to 513.

Crook County has had a total of 13 confirmed cases after two new cases were announced today, one symptomatic and one asymptomatic. The three active cases in the county at this time are unrelated to each other.

If you have been exposed to any of the three cases, you will be contacted by Crook County Public Health or the Wyoming Department of Health. The remaining 10 cases identified in Crook County have recovered.

Please note that the 2 new cases in Crook County are not yet reflected in the state's statistics.

34 people have died as a result of COVID-19 in Wyoming after 1 new death was added to the tally today.

A total of 2327 confirmed and 432 probable cases have recovered.

12 people are currently hospitalized in Wyoming due to the coronavirus.

New confirmed cases were seen today in Albany, Campbell, Carbon, Fremont, Johnson, Laramie, Natrona, Park, Platte, Sheridan, Sweetwater, Teton, Uinta, Washakie and Weston counties. The largest growth in cases was seen in Sheridan County, with three new confirmed cases.

There are currently 570 active cases in Wyoming.

Of the statewide metrics used to make decisions regarding the virus, all metrics are "stable" (amber level), except new cases and total reported hospital admissions due to COVID-19, which are both marked as "concerning" (red level).
