Mignerys named Wyoming Tree Farmer of the Year

Ed and Barb Mignery’s motivation to manage their forest for overall health and sustainability for future generations, increased resilience to wildfire and insect infestations and for the benefit of wildlife, earns them the Wyoming Tree Farmer of the Year award from the American Tree Farm System (ATFS). They are exceptional role models and volunteers to the local natural resource managers, local school students and forested landowners.

To experience some of the unique habitat zones on the Mignerys’ Tree Farmer of the Year property, plan a hike on the Carson Draw Trail System in the USFS Bearlodge Mountains and watch for the Tree Farm signs along the boundaries of the Mignery property.

For information on future educational walks on the Carson Trail System in the Bearlodge Mountains, watch your local conservation district Facebook page and Eastern WY CC adult education on Facebook, for further information.

Ed and Barb Mignery also received the 2020 National Leadership Award from the American Forest Foundation (AFF) earlier this year.
