COVID-19 Daily Update - July 22

According to Wednesday's update from the Department of Health, Wyoming's total lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 have increased by 34 and now stand at 1864.

Probable cases have increased by 16 to 424. There are currently 13 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Wyoming.

Crook County has a total of 9 confirmed cases. 7 have recovered.

25 people have died as a result of COVID-19 in Wyoming.

One new case of coronavirus was reported in each of the following counties: Albany, Big Horn, Natrona, Platte and Washakie. Fremont County has 2 more cases; Laramie and Park counties each have 4 more cases; Carbon County has 5; Sweetwater County reports 7 new cases; Teton County reports 8. The Health Department shows Campbell County's case count down by one.

Currently, the total number of active cases statewide is 520, down 2 from yesterday.

Statewide, the department's current figures show that 1417 confirmed cases and 328 probable cases have recovered.

Of the six metrics devised by state government to make decisions regarding the pandemic, two are marked as concerning: the number of new cases and the total number of COVID-19 admissions reported by hospitals. All others are marked as stable, except the percentage of all tests that come back positive, which is said to be improved.
