COVID-19 Daily Update - July 16

According to Thursday's update from the Department of Health, Wyoming's total lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 have increased by 39 and now stand at 1644.

Probable cases have increased by 2 to 382. There are currently 18 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Wyoming, an increase of 1 from yesterday.

Crook County has a total of 9 confirmed cases after 1 new case was identified today.

24 people have died as a result of COVID-19 in Wyoming after 2 new deaths were reported yesterday.

Since yesterday afternoon, the number of coronavirus cases in Albany, Big Horn, Carbon, Crook, Lincoln, Sublette and Sweetwater each increased by 1; Natrona and Sheridan counties report 2 new cases each; Laramie and Park counties have 3 more cases; Fremont County has 4 more cases; Uinta County's case number is up by 7, and Teton County's is up by 11.

Statewide, the department's current figures show that 1241 confirmed cases and 299 probable cases have recovered.

Of the six metrics devised by state government to make decisions regarding the pandemic, two are marked as concerning: the number of new cases and the total number of COVID-19 admissions reported by hospitals. All others are marked as stable, except the percentage of all tests that come back positive, which is said to be improved.
