Mr. and Mrs. Will Vines went to Spearfish Sunday to attend the funeral of little Harry Sleep, aged six years, who was almost instantly killed Thursday. The boy ran too close to a bunch of horses in the pasture, when one kicked up playfully and struck him in the stomach.

In digging a well on this place south of Gillette John W. Moore says he went through a vein of coal 55 feet thick. One of his neighbors drilled a well 225 feet deep and the last 65 feet went into a vein of coal and he is not through it yet as the drill broke. More and more is the saying true that...
