Hulett Rodeo this weekend

The 73rd annual Hulett Rodeo will be held June 13 and 14. Some of the state’s big-name rodeos have decided to cancel for this year but the governor and Wyoming Health Department have given the Hulett Rodeo the green light.

The plan that the organizers have put in place was approved by the state and organizers will do their best, with everyone’s help, to make the rodeo safe for all. Everyone is encouraged to wear a face mask, use hand sanitizer, wash their hands, social distance and stay home if they don’t feel well.

The rodeo is NRCA and WRA approved and has the nine standard events. There will be some great kids’ events, steer riding, mutton bustin’, boot races and calf and steer scrambles.

More information can be found on the website http://www.rodeohulettwy.com, on Facebook or on the rodeo posters. Food and drink will be available on the grounds.

The rodeo starts at 1:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and there is a very real possibility of having slack this year, which will start at 10 a.m. The grass is green at the recreation grounds and, with the sunshine and the little rain, there should be a great place with lots of room to have a great Hulett Rodeo.

Hulett Roping club members look forward to seeing you at the 73rd annual Hulett Rodeo, June 13 and 14.
