Water project may see an increase in scope

A city project utilizing Abandoned Mine Lands funds may see an increase in scope to address an issue with an old and failing water line. The project originally involved replacing both the Sundance Kid and underground tanks and installing new ten-inch lines to serve them.

“The two tanks along 1-90, those are two of the original tanks for the city. They are dated, they have numerous deficiencies and really they have outlived their lifespan, so they are due to be replaced,” said Dan Mummert of city engineers Trihydro, addressing the Sundance City Council last week.
