Bulldog wrestlers take on Dogie Invite

The Sundance wrestling team completed this past Friday at the 14-team Dogie Invitational in Newcastle. When the day was completed, the grapplers had two place winners.

Junior Owen Haiar took home the title at 126 lbs. with three pins and a 9-2 decision in the finals. The other place winner was heavyweight wrestler Dawson Flahaven who placed fifth with three wins by fall.

Other wrestlers competing on the day were Ben Tinsley 1-2 at 145 lbs., Peyton Ewing 1-2 at 160 lbs., Lance Weaver 0-2 at 171 lbs., Josh Pridgeon 2-2 at 182 lbs., Ashton Powe 0-2 at 182 lbs., Leo Lyons 0-2 at 195 lbs., Gavin Mollenbrink 0-2 at 220 lbs. and Roman Hrek 0-2 at 220 lbs. 

The Bulldog grapplers will compete Tues., Jan. 21 at home vs. Campbell County, Thunder Basin, Hulett and Belle Fourche before heading to Lingle on Sat., Jan. 25, at the Dogger Invitational.
