J.J. Belshe in the city Monday stated that mining of coal was begun at his mine that morning, the new machinery having been installed. It is very probable that there will be a steady and urgent demand for the product of the mine for the next several months by this city, which depends principally on that source for the fuel supply and a shortage exists at present.
