SHS Cross Country takes on Rapid City

Sundance Cross Country competed in Rapid City this past week.

In the junior high division, Rylie Marchant was the first to cross the finishing line and hot on her tail was Brit Wheeler, with only two-tenths of a second separating the two. Jordan Mouat and Riley Banker rounded out the junior high girl’s race for the Bulldogs.

The junior high boys fared well with Angel Villegas leading the 7th grade Bulldogs with a time of 13:15, followed by Kyten Johnson (14:18), Jager McLaughlin (15:42) and Wyatt Flahaven (16:10). The 8th grade boy’s race saw lone Bulldog Deklan Gill finishing in 16th place with a time of 12:35.

Hunter Skeens led the Bulldogs in the varsity competition as he placed 29th and Kort McLaughlin came in 97th. For the girls Darcy Flahaven crossed the line in 89th place.

For their next race, the Sundance Cross Country team will travel to Wright on Saturday.
