Cross Country runs at Spearfish

The Sundance cross country team competed at Spearfish this past weekend. Hunter Skeens ran the team best 12th place with a time of 17:54 while Tori Wheeler was the first one in for the girls’ varsity runners taking 24th with a time of 22:47, dropping almost two minutes from her time last week at Mallo Invite in Newcastle.

In the junior high competition, the Sundance cross country team saw Riley Marchant and Britt Wheeler continue to pace each other as they finished 12th and 14th in a field of 97 with only a five second difference separating them. The junior high boys race had 136 runners with Bulldog runner Deklan Gill finishing 14th with a time of 11:50.

The Bulldog cross country team will be back on the course Thursday in Belle Fourche.
