Raber trial begins next week

The trial of the State of Wyoming vs. Lesley Raber is set to begin on June 26 and expected to last for up to three days. Raber faces homicide charges related to a vehicle crash last August that resulted in the death of 54-year-old Nancy Robinson of Indiana.

Raber pled not guilty in November to felony charges of aggravated homicide by vehicle following the incident last August in which she allegedly pulled out onto U.S. 212 near milepost 19 and collided with a trike motorcycle.

The trial was originally scheduled to take place earlier in the year. However, on March 20, lawyer Steven Titus successfully argued for a continuance on the basis that the defendant was delayed in securing an expert due to the financial burden and that expert’s investigation was then further delayed due to a blizzard.

The trial is expected to begin at 9 a.m. on June 26.
