Pixley qualifies for world's largest junior high rodeo

Sundance’s own Austin Pixley has qualified to compete at the world’s largest junior high rodeo in South Dakota on June 23. Seventh grader Pixley will compete in the ribbon roping event at the National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Huron.

Pixley will compete as part of Wyoming’s state rodeo team. He will join around 1000 contestants from 44 states, five Canadian provinces, Australia and Mexico to compete for over $80,000 in prizes, $200,000 in college scholarships and the chance to win the title of champion by finishing in the top 20 to advance to the final round on the Saturday.

The Saturday performance will be broadcast live on RFD-TV and ridepass.com.
