Raptors spotted in Sundance

Crook County Library and Sundance Elementary hosted the Black Hills Raptor Center on Wed., May 15. Maggie and Lucy, volunteers from the center, brought the birds over to visit both the library and the elementary school.

Special guests included two Eastern screech owls, a short-eared owl, a Ferruginous hawk and an American kestrel. All these birds have been injured severely enough that they are permanent residents at the center.
