Marilyn Jenis Millard

Marilyn Jenis Millard, 73, of Sundance, Wyoming, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019, at her home south of Sundance.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sundance. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, South Dakota.

Marilyn was born July 10, 1945, in Wendell, Idaho, to Frank Crowther and Marylee Schwaner. The oldest of nine children, Marilyn always had a big heart and helped many of her siblings move into adulthood, offering them a place to stay when needed. She took in and adopted three of her children, raising all of them with unconditional love.

After graduating from high school in Richfield Idaho, she attended Ricks College for one year, married David Williams in 1965 and raised their five children. She married John Millard on March 3, 2008.

She spent several years working as supervisor of a Medical Billing office in Las Vegas. The last several years, she had many medical challenges with diabetes and a heart condition. She will be missed by all who knew her and we know she is having a joyous reunion with her father and relatives on the other side.

She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She was a wonderful mother and stepmother to John's four sons.

She loved playing the piano and organ and played at our church until her health started going downhill. She held was Relief Society President when she first moved to Wyoming.

She also loved quilting, crocheting and was masterful at sewing. She was a member of the Sundance quilting bee, where they made several quilts for the Veteran's Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, John Millard; five children, Becky Norris, Brenda Weber, Aaron Williams, Nathan Williams and Treavor Williams; and 18 grandchildren. Marilyn is the oldest of eight siblings: Karen Briant, William Crowther, Robert Crowther, Dale Crowther, Kristy Johnson, Leann Nicoles, Kevin Crowther and Susan Jill Ward.
