Youth prevention mini-grants available

The Wyoming Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police (WASCOP) is excited to announce the release of the Spring 2019 Youth Prevention Mini-Grant Application. Law enforcement in Wyoming see youth as our most precious resource and recognize that empowering youth to make a difference in their community, helps to promote healthy behaviors that can be long lasting.

The goal of a youth prevention coalition is to empower youth to impact their school and community through the prevention of substance abuse, traffic safety awareness, and mental health/personal safety promotion by understanding local issues, developing skills to address those issues and taking action.

Additional leadership opportunities are available by partnering with the local prevention coalition, the Wyoming Prevention Action Alliance, Students Against Destructive Decisions and #WYAMPLIFY.

Interested schools and youth serving organizations are encouraged to apply. To learn more and to obtain the grant application, contact Rhea Parsons at [email protected].
