25 Years Ago, October 30, 1997: The witch, normally associated with Halloween, is popularly used as a decoration and costume for those celebrating the tradition. This witch had a little trouble with a telephone pole. The witch was created by Tally Hughes and Leroy Anderson, and this is the second year it has decorated the pole in front of their houses on the Canyon Road. Tally found the idea in Country Magazine and thought it would be funny.
