25 Years Ago, October 23, 1997 - The Wyoming State Historical Society recently recognized Wyomingites and organizations for their contribution to the state's history. Awards were present at the Society's annual convention in Wright. Stan Cliver, right, representing the Crook County Historical Society, was congratulated by the Society's outgoing president, Mike Cassity, as the recipient of the Chapter award for restoring the plaque and rock monument commemorating the passage of the Custer Expedition to the Black Hills in 1874.
