Questions were raised over the viability of plans to build a new clinic in Hulett at last week’s meeting of the Crook County Medical Services District Board of Trustees. Split opinions caused disagreements on the need for a new clinic and the board’s relationship with the Crook County Hospital Foundation. The ladies of the Crook County Courthouse never disappoint at Halloween. This year, they dressed as Trolls for the spookiest day - even the ones who cheated just a little. Alberta June Camblin Cox has risen from this world and left behind her beloved Pumpkin Buttes and many memories. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at the age of 91. Alberta, “Berta,” “Bert,” “Bertie June” Camblin came into this world on June 9, 1928 as the seventh of eight children born to Christina and Earl Camblin at their ranch at the base of the Pumpkin Buttes south of Gillette, Wyoming. Jerry Pridgeon, 88, of Gillette, WY passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette, WY. There will be no services held at this time. Body found near in Park Co., murder suspect arrested POWELL (WNE) — A hunter stumbled upon a woman’s body about halfway between Cody and Meeteetse on Saturday afternoon — and authorities say she appears to have been the victim of a homicide. Michelle Hunt has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly attacking another Hulett resident with a 2x6 piece of lumber. On October 18, a Crook County Sheriff’s Office sergeant and deputy responded to reports of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Hulett at around 9:15 p.m. The caller was allegedly “actively being battered” by Michelle Hunt while speaking by phone to Crook County Dispatch. A Mexican native was charged earlier this month with identification fraud after the vehicle he was traveling in was pulled over for speeding on I-90. However, as Cristian Velasco-Gomez was found to be in the United States unlawfully, the charges have been dropped to facilitate his deportation. The Upton-Sundance football team began playoffs on Friday hosting Rocky Mountain. The game got off to a good start for the Patriots as their defense forced Rocky Mountain to punt it away on the first drive.
