    After an eventful weekend, the Sundance Lady Bulldogs are headed back to the state volleyball tournament as their quest to become three-peat champions begins. The opening round of regional play brought the number two seed from the north, the Sundance Bulldogs, up against the number three seed from the south, the Lusk Tigers.     The football season came to a close Friday for the Upton-Sundance Patriots as the Lovell Bulldogs took the 21-8 victory. The opening half seemed evenly matched as both teams' defenses were the stars of the show, making it difficult for either offense to find their way into the end zone. The Bulldogs did manage to get on the board first as Preston Nichols sneaked his way into the end zone from one yard out.   • Elementary program will honor veterans

    Sundance Elementary fifth and sixth graders will be honoring our veterans on Wed., Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. Songs will include Those Who Served, Star Spangled Banner, Yankee Doodle’s Pony, Tribute to the Armed Services, Fifty Nifty United States and Thankful for the USA. Following the performance, veterans are asked to join the students to answer questions about their service. The community is welcome to come and celebrate community members who have served in the armed forces....

  • McInerney recognized for sportsmanship

    Cana McInerney was awarded the Good Sportsmanship Award from the Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA) for the sportsmanship she displayed during the volleyball tournament against Lingle-Ft. Laramie on August 27. The award was judged and recommended by the officiating crew of Amy Swisher and Chrisanna Lund and approved by Ron Laird, CMAA, Commissioner of the WHSAA.
