    8-year-old Michael Campbell of Sturgis, SD appeared in court in Meade County, SD, last week charged with murder in the second degree after a body was discovered in his home that was believed to be that of missing Upton resident Shayna Ritthaler. Ritthaler, who attended school in Moorcroft and lived south of Upton, disappeared on October 3.     The trial of Lesley Raber for aggravated homicide by vehicle began on Tuesday morning as 60 of her fellow Crook County residents arrived at the courthouse for a morning of jury screening. The 12-person jury was seated around 2 p.m. for opening statements. Raber pled not guilty to the homicide charge last August after an incident in which she allegedly pulled out onto U.S. 212 near milepost 19 and collided with a trike motorcycle, causing the death of its rider, 54-year-old Nancy Robinson of Bloomfield, Indiana.     Those who diligently schedule their blood draw each spring may be interested to know that a second annual opportunity has been made available in the fall. Crook County Medical Services (CCMSD) will now be offering health panels twice per year as it develops a program to support the community's wellness.     Shayna Lin Ritthaler, 16, of Upton, Wyoming, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019, in the Boal Auditorium at the Upton Elementary School in Upton. A private family burial will be held at the Ritthaler Ranch. Before she was born on July 6, 2003, the sounds of Shayna’s heartbeat coming through a baby monitor filled the room in the Gillette, Wyoming hospital.     A Colorado man pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine after being pulled over on the interstate earlier this year and has received a suspended sentence. On May 19, a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper was advised of a possibly impaired driver traveling west on the interstate. He observed the vehicle at milepost 170 and conducted a traffic stop for speeding at 86 mph in an 80 mph zone.     A fatal crash near Moorcroft on October 7 claimed the life of California resident David Segal. The accident occurred around milepost 169 on Interstate 90 east of Moorcroft, Wyoming. Around 7:34 p.m., Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to the area for a one-vehicle rollover.     RIVERTON — A 21-year-old Fremont County woman is facing manslaughter charges after telling a Riverton Police Department detective that she used a knife to attack a man.
