Justices will now decide whether to overturn the jury’s guilty verdict on felony counts of accessory before the fact to involuntary manslaughter and to aggravated assault and battery. Sarah Pridgeon|Oct 1, 2020

Be wary of claims on websites and social media that a third party entity can assist you in matters to do with the upcoming general election, says County Clerk Linda Fritz. No matter their intentions, they are less reliable and less secure than simply calling the County Clerk’s Office. “There are quite a few of these on social media,” says Fritz. “It’s happening around the state right now.” Websites and social media pages of this nature claim to be able to help you find out whether you have registered to vote. The only way they can do this, sa...

    Sarah Pridgeon|Oct 1, 2020

We’ve heard endless talk over the last few years about improving access to broadband for people who live in the more far-flung corners of Wyoming. Right now, for instance, there’s a push at the state level to dip into the pandemic purse for just that goal, and I’m here to bring you proof that this is an excellent idea. Bad internet, as it turns out, can make it difficult to watch your favorite television shows – but not for the reason you might be thinking. This was a lesson recently learned...

  • Implicated

    Oct 1, 2020

You shall love your neighbor as yourself – Matthew 22:39 We are connected to the world and the world to us. As part of it we have responsibility for it. There exist unseen absolutes we are accountable for and when these fundamental items are not attended to, people and society suffer. The primary element to a properly functioning civilization is the treatment of one another with dignity and value. The implication of connecting with the world starts and never ends with treating one another as a worthwhile part of the whole. Individual connection...

1 Years Ago Sep. 30, 1920 The petrified jawbone of some prehistoric mammal was picked up in a washout near the Gose ranch and is on display at Newcastle. The bone is two feet long, with three well defined sets of tusks. The specimen probably will be turned over to some museum. The coal situation in Sundance continues to linger on lines of uncertainty. Mr. Belshe stated Tuesday that he had yet secured no miners, and that consequently there was no coal to be had at the mine. The first touch of winter will see a stampede to the timber. The...
