    The Sundance Lady Bulldogs opened the 2022 volleyball season in Lingle this past weekend, going up against 1A and 2A teams from the eastern half of the state. “We had a fun weekend of volleyball getting used to our new lineups. It’ll be a great season for Sundance with some solid senior leadership and new young faces making a statement,” head coach Chelsey Blasczyk stated.   • Golf team plays close to home

    The Sundance golf team stayed close to home this week, hosting the Sundance Invite on Friday and participating in the Upton Invite on Saturday. The Bulldog boys continued to stay right together, with only one stroke separating them, on Friday, at their home course. Owen Watt led the trio with a score of 94 while teammates Spencer Lubken and Parker Speidel each shot a 95 on the course.     The Sundance Bulldog cross country team opened its 2022 season competing in the Newcastle Invite on Thurs., Aug. 25. Four competed in the varsity/junior varsity boys 5000-meter race. Sophomore Angel Villegas finished 13th in the varsity division with a time of 22:07.33. Sophomore Wyatt Flahaven finished in a time of 24:23.51. The lone Bulldog senior, Kort McLaughlin, crossed the finish line in a time of 24:55.89, while his brother, sophomore Jager McLaughlin, finished in a time of 25:13.09....

  • Powder River Energy Foundation provides preschool tuition assistance in memory of Shayna Ritthaler

    The Powder River Energy Foundation awarded preschool tuition scholarships totaling $3450 to students at five preschools in Crook and Weston counties. This is the third allotment in a sustaining preschool tuition assistance program as part of the Shayna Ritthaler Memorial Scholarship.
