Graduation Day for this year’s Sundance seniors will be taking place this Sunday, May 17 at 4 p.m. and the whole community will have the chance to tune in to KYDT 103.1 or head to the Sundance High School Facebook page to watch or listen live as graduates receive their honors. Patsy Jo Bunney passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at the Close to Home Hospice House in Gillette, Wyoming, at the age of 79, following a courageous battle with cancer. JoAnn Klocker Leaf passed away suddenly Saturday afternoon April 25, 2020, at her home near Merino, Colorado. JoAnn was born July 9, 1942, to Jessie (Stafford) and Leonard Medlock in Haigler, Nebraska. Her mom married the man she called Dad (Charles Pettit) in August 1946. Reva Augusta King, 88, of Hulett, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2020, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Reva was born a few miles west of Hulett on June 4, 1932. Her parents were John C. and Myrtle (Lawrence) Wood. Reva grew up in the Hulett-Sundance area and attended grade school in Hulett and the Government Canyon School in Moskee. The family moved to Spearfish in 1948 so the kids could attend Spearfish High School and Reva graduated from there in 1952. In 1953, Reva married Bill King and had three sons. She moved back to... Kathy Janell Daves (Parker) was born July 15, 1951 in Edmond, Oklahoma and adopted four days later to Howard A. and Anna Mae (Stevens) Parker. She passed away peacefully Saturday evening May 9, 2020, at the Crook County Memorial Hospital in Sundance, Wyoming, after a short battle with bone cancer. Dear Editor, There is a lot of discussion in regards to the possibility of a new hospital in Sundance and clinic in Hulett with also a few words about a clinic in Upton. What I have been hearing so far is this would be funded with the money that was allocated for COVID-19 relief thru the CARES act. A city project utilizing Abandoned Mine Lands funds may see an increase in scope to address an issue with an old and failing water line.
