    The Sundance boys basketball team hosted the Moorcroft Wolves on Friday night as lone senior Tanner Hofland took the floor for his final home game as a Bulldog. Jumping out to a demanding lead, the Bulldogs were up 26-6 by halftime. It was an all-around team effort as the entire bench got to see some time on the floor.     The Moorcroft Wolves were in town for senior night at Sundance High School on Friday. As lone senior Madison Gill took the home floor for her final night of play, the Lady Bulldogs turned up the intensity looking to avenge the 32 point loss they suffered in January.     On February 4-8, the Crook County Special Olympics team competed in the State Winter Olympics in Jackson Hole. State Games are comprised of 200 athletes, 20 unified partners, 140 coaches and chaperones and 23 teams.   • Defense rests in Smith trial

    Both the prosecution and defense have now rested in the trial of the State of Wyoming vs. Marty Smith. Smith stands accused of several felony counts related to her alleged role in the homicide of Doug Haar on August 1, 2018. Proceedings began on Tuesday morning with the selection of the jury and continued into the afternoon as the prosecution called its witnesses.   • Jury finds Smith guilty of accessory to involuntary manslaughter, aggravated assault

    Marty Smith has been found guilty on felony charges of accessory before the fact to involuntary manslaughter and accessory before the fact to aggravated assault. She was found not guilty of charges of accessory to murder in the second degree and accessory to voluntary manslaughter. Smith faces up to 20 years in jail (up to 30 years if the two sentences run consecutively). Judge Thomas Rumpke ruled that she will be held without bond until her sentencing.
